Job Description

Sign Fabricator Seeking a experienced sign fabricator to join our amazing team. The ability to work well with others in a busy manufacturing environment is a requirement as well as a good positive attitude. Starting pay is based on experience and industry standards. Summary Review work orders and shop drawings to ensure that required information and material is available before starting work order. Layout and fabricate efficiently and with quality, in accordance with federal, state and company specifications. Proper processing of work order including documentation for accuracy, contacting supervisor for follow-up information, and recording time spent on project with computer time clock. Work to include fabrication and/or assembly including channel letters, sign cabinets, post and panel signs, pylon signs and other various sign related projects. Capable of meeting deadlines while working under minimal supervision. Takes initiative and learn/apply techniques to successfully complete job duties. Maintains satisfactory attendance and reports to work in a punctual manner. Has experience in the use of hand and power tools associated with sign fabrication. Sheet metal and welding experience. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Learn to read and interpret shop blueprints to fabricate projects as required.
  • Reading or using tape measure, dial caliper to measure.
  • Learn the efficient operation of various shop equipment.
  • Use Computer time clock to track job time, break, and lunch accurately
  • Enters daily labor reporting/materials use as submitted by the supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Install signs in field and field welding as needed.
  • Capable of learning the set-up and safe operation of various kinds of machines and fabrication shop equipment, to include but not limited to saw, brake, shear, chop saw, channel bender, drill press, router, and other miscellaneous hand tools and grinders.
  • Maintain flexibility and work between departments as required.
  • Assist and/or perform duties as instructed by supervisor.
  • Quality control each job during and upon completion.
  • Reports to the Shop Foreman and the assigned leader for the department.
  • Present a professional, clean image to our customers.
  • Always maintain a pleasant and cooperative attitude. Treat finished products in a professional, clean and damage free manner.
  • Communicate with your supervisor on tickets, issues, concerns, and ideas.
  • Put ALL tools back at the end of the day and work in a safe and professional manner.
  • Work by a set schedule. Start and end time will be set by your supervisor. Coming in late or leaving early WILL be documented and appropriate action will be taken by administration with repeated incidences.
  • Communicate with supervisor about job progress, due dates and any issues that may occur.
  • Follow company policies in accordance with employee handbook
