ABOUT THE ROLE

World of Illumination (WOI) is seeking an experienced Assistant Foreman to assist with the supervision and oversight of the installation and teardown of our Holiday Drive Through Light Shows. This critical role ensures that the installation processes is executed seamlessly, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Assistant Foreman will work closely with the installation crew, coordinate with vendors, and act as the Foreman when and if necessary. This is a fast-paced, outdoor role that calls for strong leadership, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to keep a crew moving in a busy environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation Prior to installation, review all plans, guides, schedules, and training materials to ensure thorough preparation for the installation process. Assist the Foreman in overseeing all aspects of the installation process, including unloading materials, zone organization, structure assembly, inventory control, and power/data distribution. Ensure installation deadlines are met and safety protocols are strictly followed. Understand and adhere to all build and structure guides. Serve as a point of contact for site inspections and collaborate with internal teams on solutions as necessary. Effectively communicate and collaborate with various vendors, ensuring they understand site requirements, access points, equipment placement, schedules, and logistics. Handle assets, tools, and equipment with care, following inventory control procedures. Ensure all structure and scenery pieces are fully compliant with standards. Ensure all areas including the boneyard are well organized and maintained. Management & Training Assist the Foreman in managing and leading a seasonal installation crew. Work with the Foreman and Operations Manager to train the crew on all aspects of the installation process. Help set daily goals, lead morning briefings, and provide feedback to ensure accountability. Provide feedback and accountability when necessary. Be able to recognize when a team member is not following company policy, following procedures, or working up to standard and take the necessary steps to address the situation. Administrative Communicate via email, slack, monday.com and other company software appropriately and efficiently. Complete any required documentation or reports related to the installation/teardown process. Provide daily progress reports and track data to improve operations. Assist in managing labor crew timesheets when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant vocational training, technical courses or experience in areas such as project management, safety protocols, or logistics can be beneficial. Forklift and Aerial certification required. This position requires individuals to be on their feet extensively, and operate heavy machinery (ie forklift). Must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments. This position requires working outdoors in various conditions, including rain, cold, snow and heat. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays. Proven resolution conflict, problem solving and decision-making skills while under pressure. Extensive experience in overseeing large-scale installation and teardown processes for events. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of adhering to timelines and budgets. Proficient in vendor management, including sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring compliance. Experience with the development and implementation of training programs. OSHA 30 Certification preferred. Experience in managing a team. Willingness to travel to various locations.
