This role oversees dietary staff, food production, purchasing, inventory management, food safety compliance, and resident dining satisfaction while maintaining survey readiness and regulatory compliance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Direct and manage all daily dietary department operations. Supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate dietary department employees. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, CMS, and AHCA regulations. Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' nutritional needs. Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and budget controls. Monitor meal quality, food presentation, portion control, and resident satisfaction. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with ServSafe and regulatory requirements. Ensure proper documentation of temperatures, sanitation logs, inventory records, and dietary reports. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities. Prepare for and successfully navigate state surveys and regulatory inspections. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM, CFPP) credential required. Minimum two (1) year of dietary management experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting. Supervisory experience managing dietary staff. Current ServSafe Manager Certification preferred. Strong understanding of therapeutic diets, food safety regulations, and infection control practices. Experience with food purchasing, inventory control, staffing, and budgeting. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
