The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing daily activities on the production lines, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Duties Communicates job expectations and provides coaching, counseling, and discipline to employees. Enforces systems, policies, and procedures. Reports result of production on shift production reports. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members. 5S System Maintains staff by assisting in the selecting, orienting, and training of employees; develops personal growth opportunities for associates. Complete production timecards/schedules daily, monitor and approve PTO time and conduct performance evaluations. Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process and recommending/implementing action plans to correct deviations from efficiency. Ensure safety and quality is built into all aspect of work. Facilitates corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Skills Candidate will need the ability to think quickly on their feet and to properly delegate tasks to ensure production efficiency. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner. Apply common sense understanding and use appropriate judgment in routine business situations with supervisor, co-workers and customers. Maintain a higher standard of professional conduct and ethics in more complex business situations such as negotiations with customers or presentations to management. Qualifications 2+ years' experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal coating or similar process. (Required) High School diploma or GED (Required) Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite Must be able to work well with others and have open availability. Position must be willing to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed.
