This position is designed for an individual who is eager to learn every aspect of the production operation and develop into a Shop Foreman. Whether your background is in sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, or another production environment, we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, leadership potential, and the drive to keep operations moving efficiently. What You'll Do You'll work side-by-side with the Shop Foreman, learning the operation while helping keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in leading daily shop operations and supporting production employees. Help coordinate production schedules to ensure customer deadlines are met. Monitor workflow, materials, and inventory to minimize downtime. Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Communicate production priorities and resolve issues as they arise. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes. Assist with training and developing production team members. Step into a leadership role when the Shop Foreman is unavailable. Learn all aspects of the operation in preparation for future advancement into the Foreman position. Strong organizational and communication skills. Someone who enjoys being on the production floor—not behind a desk all day. Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and make sound decisions. A dependable, self-motivated individual who wants to grow with the company. Experience with production scheduling, inventory, ERP systems, or continuous improvement initiatives is beneficial. Why This Opportunity? Clear path to becoming a Shop Foreman. Join a stable, growing manufacturer that values long-term employees. Competitive compensation based on experience. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid holidays and PTO. Supportive team environment where your ideas and initiative are appreciated. If you're looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career in manufacturing and grow into a leadership position, we'd like to hear from you.
