Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Production Supervisor on second shift to oversee daily production operations and help ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting production employees, coordinating workflow, monitoring productivity and quality, and ensuring established safety, food safety, and company procedures are followed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who communicates effectively, works well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is comfortable coaching employees, addressing performance concerns, and making day-to-day decisions to keep production running smoothly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily production and ensure production schedules are completed. Ensure production lines are properly staffed, and employees are appropriately assigned based on production needs. Coordinate and oversee line setup, start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and downtime to minimize production interruptions and maximize efficiency. Monitor production rates, labor utilization, cases per labor hour, downtime, waste and other key performance indicators. Identify and correct production delays and efficiency issues. Implement new SOPs for new and existing systems equipment. Crosstrain new employees and Line Leads as needed. Complete required production, labor and shift reports accurately and on time. Line Performance Duties and Responsibilities Apply company policies and expectations fairly and consistently. Ensure In-Line Batchers are equipped with the necessary tools and documentation needed to scale ingredients required for every Purchase Order and Customer. Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards. Enforce safety rules and promote safe work practices by ensuring employees follow GMP, food safety and sanitation requirements. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment by overseeing sanitation practices for each line.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing. Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, sanitation and workplace safety. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work assigned shifts and additional hours when needed. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
