Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Production Quality Lead - Detroit, MI A leading metals manufacturer is seeking a production quality lead to guide their saw and milling teams in a dynamic shop environment. Production Quality Lead Benefits & Compensation Competitive hourly pay ( $27.00-$33.00 per hour) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match and profit sharing Short-term disability and life insurance 10 paid holidays plus generous PTO Quarterly gainsharing bonuses Flexible spending account Production Quality Lead Requirements & Qualifications Level II certification in ultrasonic testing (UT) required Qualified to perform dry magnetic particle inspections (MPI) Experience in manufacturing, saw, machine shop, material handling, inspection, or a related production environment Strong ability to lead employees, assign work, set priorities, and follow up on daily production needs Proficient in reading and understanding work orders, specifications, inspection requirements, measurements, and production documentation Commitment to safety, quality, traceability, documentation, and housekeeping standards Clear communicator with various departments across the organization Production Quality Lead Preferred Background & Skills Prior supervisory, lead, or coordinator experience in a production or manufacturing setting Familiarity with saw operations, milling equipment, mold die steel, and heavy material handling Experience with production records and coordinating workflow across departments Production Quality Lead Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead, direct, and support teams in the saw and milling areas to meet production goals Supervise employees cutting orders from mold die steel and milling large stock materials Perform and verify UT and dry MPI inspections according to company and customer standards Set daily work priorities and ensure smooth material flow between departments Coach employees on safety, quality, equipment use, and procedures; conduct safety meetings and reinforce best practices Maintain accurate production, inspection, and safety records while upholding high housekeeping standards If you're passionate about manufacturing leadership and quality, and you are ready to play an essential role in a respected organization, this is your opportunity to advance your career in Detroit.
