: Job Summary

This position is a hands-on supervisory role where the individual will assist the Production Manager and act as a technical troubleshooter. The primary responsibilities include directing job assignments and providing technical leadership to the production staff. This role requires maintaining a professional attitude while meeting production schedules and customer commitments. Additionally, selecting and training new employees and those working on new jobs is a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute the production schedule, supervising and directing Production Team Leaders and Laser Operators. Allocate resources to ensure minimal downtime and completion of scheduled activities. Prioritize and manage workload to meet company, department, and customer objectives.

Conduct safety and orientation training for new employees.

Ensure safety practices are maintained in compliance with company policies.

Supervise and assist in training production processes. Provide consistent and constructive training, guidance, and coaching to employees. Communicate shift activity and inform personnel of changes to equipment, processes, and materials/supplies.

Monitor the efficiency and quality of all production jobs. Review daily cell goals and identify root causes if goals are not met, reporting findings.

Assist in running and troubleshooting production jobs.

Develop strong team-working relationships with peers and cross-shift teams.

Review production records for completeness and accuracy.

Prepare product shipments, including reviewing internal material travelers and related documents before authorizing shipments.

Maintain inventory and replenishment of all production supplies.

Organize and control timesheets for production personnel.

Conduct performance appraisals and communicate feedback to senior management.

Manage employee conduct or performance issues in line with company policies, consulting Human Resources as needed.

Collaborate with Quality to design, implement, and monitor quality awareness and improvement programs.

Required Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and informatively with both management and staff.

Proficiency in computer operations and programs such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Access, or other data tracking systems.

Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and creatively.

Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.

At least 3 years of supervisory experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands

5 years of technical experience and 5 years of progressive supervisory experience.

Associate Degree.

Familiarity with ISO and FDA Compliance.
