  • The Production Lead oversees first shift operations in a door manufacturing facility, ensuring high-quality production, smooth workflow, and effective team coordination. This role focuses on maintaining quality standards, supporting continuous improvement, and developing team members through structured training and cross-training initiatives.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Review weekly quality control reports and take timely corrective action on identified issues to maintain high product standards.

+ Participate in weekly quality meetings to establish, communicate, and implement team-specific quality goals.

+ Document, refine, and recommend improvements to new hire training procedures to enhance onboarding effectiveness.

+ Manage and track cross-training efforts across the team to maintain staffing flexibility and coverage for key roles.

+ Lead and support production line activities, including machine operation, assembly, and general production tasks as needed.

+ Provide day-to-day supervision on the production floor, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

+ Promote and support lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.

+ Coordinate with other departments and leads to maintain efficient workflow and resolve production issues promptly.

+ Support safe operation of equipment, including forklifts and hand tools, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

+ Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and help foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proven leadership experience in a production or similar operational environment.

+ Experience developing SAPs.

+ Ability to interpret and act on quality control reports and performance metrics.

+ Experience participating in or leading team meetings focused on quality, production, or process improvement.

+ Experience supervising daily production activities and coordinating team efforts across shifts.

+ Capability to support and monitor new hire onboarding and training programs.

+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

+ Comfort working with production line equipment, hand tools, and general production processes.

+ Experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques into a facility.

  • The role is based in a brand-new, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed to provide a clean, comfortable, and modern work setting.

The production environment includes use of production lines, machine operation, assembly areas, forklifts, and hand tools, all supported by a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Team members work closely with other leads and production staff in a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and reliable operations.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $63502.

00 - $63502.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
