The Assistant Production Manager supports the daily manufacturing operations of our plastic blow molding plant. This role assists in planning, directing, and coordinating production schedules to ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality plastic products. The assistant production manager runs the production lines as if they are the owner of the company and makes safety, quality and production the top 3 areas of focus, in the order listed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Attend the daily safety meeting with the entire shift. 2. Assure that all company Safety Program Policies are being followed at all times. 3. Provide Leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility 4. Assist in establishing production schedules for manufacturing to insure established inventory levels are met. 5. Works with maintenance personnel when machines are down to get them up and running as quickly as possible. 6. Assist in determining staffing requirements, coordinate the hiring and training of production personnel. 7. Monitors that quality is being met on all products that are being produced. 8. Work with maintenance personnel to assure that all production lines are running and at a high-quality output. 9. Assist in the mold and tooling changes & trouble shooting machines and processes. 10. Post production in IQMS, keep production schedule up to date in IQMS 11. Maintain a clean, safe, and tour ready plant. 12. Perform other related duties as assigned. 13. JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Self-motivated person that does not need a lot of supervision 2. Great people skills 3. Superior Mechanical knowledge and skills 4. Dependable and team oriented 5. Able to learn new skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 1.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent 2. 3- 5 years in manufacturing 3. 2-3 years of supervision 4. 1-2 years of maintenance
Pay:
$31.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
