Full Job Description Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently accepting applications for a 2nd Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor's responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Ensure the compliance to all safety policies and procedures Support the vision, mission and guiding principles of Woodsage LLC. Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook. Oversee shift operations by executing the designated production plan. Responsible for daily communication of individual production activities. Responsible for training and ensuring competence of employees. Communicate and provide feedback to team daily. Evaluate and document performance by utilizing the Woodsage employee performance review process. Oversee general operations of the by: Communicating expectations to employees. Routinely verifying employees are on task. Evaluating and documenting employee performance. Assisting with problem resolution. Ensuring compliance to safety and handbook policies and procedures. Ensuring completion of all appropriate documentation related to employees or production. Communicate issues with Director of Operations. Assist Human Resources and Management with maintaining proper staffing levels. Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping levels are kept at a satisfactory level through the plant. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
3-5 years Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting Knowledge or training in safety regulations and safe work practices Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g.
ISO 9000
) General PC skills (e.g. Microsoft) Strong abilities in problem-solving, adaptability, and communication Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
Walking, Standing, Sitting, Kneeling, Stooping (Frequently) Lifting, Carrying up to 50 pounds (Occasionally) Temperatures (Occasionally)
