Job Overview Hoff Mechanical is seeking dedicated individuals for full-time, long-term permanent employment for foreman positions and shop fabrication work. Ideal candidates must be flexible and comfortable working in various construction and manufacturing sites in a variety of roles that require physical labor and/or technical skills. We offer competitive pay rates starting at $30.00 /hr depending on position and experience, plus: Paid training Health insurance Optional Dental & Vision insurance Life + AD&D insurance Simple IRA Retirement/investment account with up to 3% match Paid time off Paid mileage to & from job sites Yearly bonus Requirements for skilled Foremen/Welders, riggers, millwrights and fabricators: Clean driving record with the ability to pass a NON-DOT physical Strong, self-motivated work ethic Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead & direct a team Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company, customer and OSHA safety standards & rules Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments. Ability to operate power tools such as: drills, angle grinder, impact wrench, Sawzall, and other simple hand tools Reliable transportation to travel to work locations in and around the PA and NY Twin Tiers area Previous industry experience is desirable. Proficient in
MIG/TIG/STICK
welding techniques & fabrication. Experienced with heavy lifts, crane work, load securing. Skilled in equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Familiarity with fabrication processes and the use of hand tools and power tools. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. Experience with machining processes. Experience in other constructions, concrete & heavy equipment operations a plus Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Duties:
Supervise field teams in field fabrication, installation and other maintenance operations Complete required daily / weekly time management, safety checks and other required paperwork Perform fabrication tasks such as welding, steel cutting, pipe threading, and assembly of parts. Utilize measuring instruments like tape measures and micrometers to ensure precision in work. Conduct rigging operations safely to move heavy materials using cranes or forklifts. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and ASME codes & standards. Assist in the construction and assembly of components according to blueprints and schematics. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery including MIG welding, TIG welding, stick welding, and plasma cutting equipment. Collaborate with customer and company project managers & team members to complete projects efficiently & on time while meeting quality standards. Other duties as assigned Additional training & certifications - Not required, but a PLUS!
  • Current relevant welding certification
  • Current OSHA safety training / card
  • Crane operator certification Work hours are mainly 6:00 am Start (at work-site) to 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday with the opportunity for some over-time or weekend over-time work.
