We run thousands of blades per week for accounts nationwide, primarily serving the pallet manufacturing, sawmill, and lumber industries. Under new ownership, we're investing in our people, our equipment, and our processes — and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. The Role The Production Supervisor is a hands-on leadership position on the plant floor, reporting directly to plant management. You'll help oversee daily production operations for our blade reconditioning and remanufacturing work, with primary ownership of our shipping and receiving function. This is not a desk job. You'll be on the floor, moving product, working alongside the crew, and making sure blades get where they need to go — on time and in the right condition. Core Responsibilities Own day-to-day shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading vans and coordinating inbound and outbound blade flow Handle, sort, stage, and inspect saw blades throughout the reconditioning process Supervise and support production staff, setting daily priorities and keeping work moving through the shop Track order status and communicate with plant management on production bottlenecks, delays, and capacity Maintain accurate records of blades received, processed, and shipped Enforce safety standards and housekeeping on the production floor Step in wherever needed to keep the plant running — this is a role for someone who leads by doing What We're Looking For Prior experience in saw blade manufacturing, sharpening, or reconditioning is preferred but not required Supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, or industrial production environment Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands Ability to lift and move product throughout the shift Reliable, punctual, and accountable — our customers depend on our turnaround times Clear communicator who can direct a crew and coordinate with management High school diploma or equivalent; no degree required Why S&D We're a nearly forty-year-old business under new ownership, which means the foundation is solid but the ceiling is wide open. We're actively expanding our customer base, upgrading our equipment, and building out our team. For the right person, this role is a stepping stone.
