Second Shift Floor Supervisor

is seeking a dependable, hands-on Floor Supervisor to oversee our second-shift Metal Manufacturing and Exterior Production operations. This is a working Lead position responsible for directing employees, maintaining production flow, and ensuring safety, quality, and performance expectations are met. Schedule Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m

Starting Salary:

$50,000 a year with review after 90 days Primary Responsibilities Coordinate daily production activities and assign work based on priorities, employee abilities, and equipment availability Supervise work alongside the team as needed to meet production requirements Monitor workflow, part quality, measurements, counts, and completed work Ensure employees follow work orders, drawings, production instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements Identify production, equipment, or quality problems and help develop practical solutions Train and cross-train employees on equipment, processes, quality standards, and safe work practices Provide clear direction, coaching, and consistent accountability Maintain an organized department and enforce housekeeping standards Communicate effectively with first shift, management, maintenance, packing, and shipping Document production progress, attendance, safety, performance, and equipment concerns Provide management with an accurate end-of-shift update Leadership Expectations The successful candidate must: Lead by example with a positive and professional attitude Communicate expectations clearly and address problems directly Hold employees accountable fairly and consistently Remain organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Make responsible decisions when management is not immediately available Bring forward possible solutions when reporting concerns Balance production needs with safety and quality requirements Qualifications Metal manufacturing, fabrication, or related production experience preferred Previous supervision or team-leadership experience required Basic computer and production-documentation skills required Familiarity with laser cutters, waterjets, press brakes, shears, folders, or similar equipment is beneficial Ability to understand work orders, drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Dependable attendance and ability to work independently Must be a Core Value fit Physical Requirements This position requires extended standing and walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, repetitive production tasks, material handling, and working around metal-fabrication equipment.
