Plant Superintendent

Job Description

Must be flexible for all three shifts on a six-month rotation. The Plant Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating the activities related to the production of company product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate Supervisors and/or Team Leaders. Manage subordinate Supervisors/Team Leaders who supervise production employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include; training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Meetings with the multidisciplinary teams to resolve any issue. Foster teamwork and facilitate performance. Manage production areas to achieve plant objectives such as: Efficiency, productivity, zero rejects, delivery on time, 5s, customer satisfaction, SCRAP, safety, down time, deliveries, overtime. Achieve daily targets for production and inventory (WIP) according to production control plan. Coach and develop Production Supervisors and Leaders as required. Implementation and monitoring of best manufacturing practices Keep staff informed of weekly production requirements. Comply with the Safety, Health, and Sustainability Policy. Participate in safety, health and sustainability training and campaigns.

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS); three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Computer skills Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Bonus If You Have:

Automotive experience helpful but not required. LEAN manufacturing experience helpful but not required.
