Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations, production, and shop personnel in a precision machine shop manufacturing valve components. This leadership role is responsible for managing workflow, tracking customer orders, resolving production and machine issues, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, and on time. While this is not a hands-on working foreman position, the supervisor must be capable of stepping in to operate or troubleshoot any CNC lathe or mill as needed to keep production running smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise daily machine shop operations and production employees. Track work orders and monitor production schedules. Coordinate workflow to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. Troubleshoot production and machine issues. Fill in on CNC lathes or mills when necessary due to absences or production demands. Communicate with management and shop personnel regarding production status. Maintain production records and utilize computer systems for scheduling and tracking.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience supervising or leading a CNC machine shop. Strong knowledge of CNC lathes and CNC mills. Able to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment. Experience with CNC programming/software. Strong computer skills. Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills. Experience managing multiple production orders in a high-mix, low-volume environment is preferred. Experience machining valve components or similar precision parts is a plus.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
