Job Description

Sitework Short Crew Foreman A Site Work Short Crew Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating a small team of workers (typically 3-8) engaged in site construction activities such as sanitary and storm sewer work, concrete walks, parking lots, and drainage infrastructure ezconst.com. This role requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and the ability to manage resources efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Supervision & Coordination:
Oversee daily operations of a short crew, assigning tasks to carpenters, laborers, and heavy equipment operators.
Plan & Schedule:
Read and interpret blueprints to determine construction methods, maintain work schedules, and adjust plans as needed for weather, supply delays, or staffing changes.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, ensure a safe work environment, and assist in training programs.
Quality Control:
Inspect work to ensure it meets project specifications, identify issues, and implement corrections.
Resource Management:
Coordinate material deliveries, manage equipment, and ensure resources are adequate for project timelines.
Communication:
Liaise with supervisors, other trades, and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues.
Problem Solving:
Address on-site conflicts, equipment malfunctions, and other operational challenges.
Record Keeping:
Maintain time reporting, job-cost, and other operational records. Summary The Site Work Short Crew Foreman is the on-site leader who ensures that a small construction team operates efficiently, safely, and in line with project goals. They bridge the gap between supervisors and workers, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, to quality standards, and within budget.
