5+ years in manufacturing, print production, or a related operational leadership role About the Role We are looking for an experienced Head of Manufacturing / Print Shop Operations to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing print manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands print production, manufacturing processes, people management, quality control, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing a print shop or production environment and be comfortable taking ownership of production performance from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day print shop and manufacturing operations. Oversee production schedules, workflows, staffing, and capacity planning. Manage and develop production, warehouse, and operational teams. Ensure orders are produced accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. Monitor production KPIs, productivity, quality, turnaround times, and costs. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to production processes. Establish and maintain quality-control standards. Ensure equipment, materials, and resources are properly managed. Coordinate with sales, customer service, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment. Manage inventory levels and work with suppliers when required. Troubleshoot production issues and take corrective action quickly. Develop SOPs and ensure operational processes are consistently followed. Support hiring, training, performance management, and workforce planning. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment. Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve margins, and increase production capacity. Provide regular operational reports and updates to senior management. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in print manufacturing, commercial printing, apparel printing, production, or a similar manufacturing environment. Previous experience managing a print shop, production facility, or manufacturing operation. Strong knowledge of production workflows and operational processes. Demonstrated experience managing teams and holding employees accountable for performance. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience with production planning, inventory, quality control, and cost management. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Comfortable being hands-on and involved in day-to-day operations. Experience with DTF, DTG, screen printing, embroidery, apparel decoration, or other print production processes is highly desirable.
