Come join a growing team! We are looking for a Production Supervisor on our 2nd shift, Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm. The Production Supervisor coordinates and schedules all activities of the production team on designated shift(s) to meet production objectives, targets and goals by directly supervising production staff on the manufacturing floor. The Supervisor plans, monitors and tracks all training of both new and existing team members. Evaluates and manages employee performance, including disciplinary actions, if required. Additionally, the Supervisor monitors product quality levels and reports all deviations from process standards to management. Acts as a liaison between the production floor and management. The Production Supervisor is a hands-on leader, setting the tone for and positively contributing to the team environment, both on and off the manufacturing floor.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Supervise Production Activities:
Oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely. Set the daily assignment board, to strategically place staff for optimization of skill set and maximum productivity. Ensure that all production startups begin on time at start of shift and safely/correctly shut down at end of shift daily. Track overall production supplies and ensure proper levels maintained. Track production output and quality level periodically throughout and at end of shift. Keep work centers, and factory, clean, neat, and safe as a working environment. Enforce company policies and procedures consistently across their team. Participate and if required, lead process improvement teams and initiatives that directly impact work processes, environment, and quality of product. Contribute ideas toward improving processes (output and quality) and/or lowering costs
Manage Staff:
Prepare and provide performance feedback during performance review cycle. Identify and address performance and behavior related issues with employees, following the company's progressive discipline policy. Review and approve employee timecards for payroll. Monitor time off requests to ensure adequate hours are available for use as well as proper staffing on the production floor at all times. Identify training needs and execute proper cross-training, allowing the team to be flexible when scheduling work. Maintain the training matrix. Monitor in-process training checklists. Provide opportunities for professional development.
Coordinate Workflows:
Plan and organize production schedules, assigning tasks and priorities to ensure smooth operations.
Quality Control:
Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement improvements as necessary.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
Data Monitoring:
Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed
Communication:
Act as a liaison between the production floor and upper management, providing regular updates on production status and challenges. Perform other duties as may be assigned
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities Ability to keep confidential sensitive information regarding management decisions, plans and, initiatives. Self-motivated team player displaying positive and engaging attitude. Ability to lead by example as well as effectively interact with both subordinates and management. Must be able to balance the needs of the team with the needs and priorities of the company and be adept at both understanding and communicating that balance. Be able to comfortably operate in a Windows computer environment Ability to work flexible hours occasionally as needed. Must follow company policies and procedures Ability to comply and satisfactorily pass pre-employment background and drug screening. Ability to complete and be granted/maintain a US Department of State MRPT clearance as a condition of employment as described in our employee handbook o A preliminary and interim security background check must be passed before employment begins and the full MRPT application completed up on starting employment. All offers of employment are conditional based upon successful completion, approval and maintenance of this clearance. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years' experience in Business or Human Resources, or related discipline OR at a High School Diploma and 2+ years of production supervisory experience OR a combination of education and related working experience from with comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience/knowledge of production principles and techniques. Machine operations experience in a manufacturing setting Experience in a high-velocity production environment Production maintenance and/or trouble-shooting experience Basic Microsoft Excel experience
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Works primarily on the manufacturing floor, which requires the incumbent to be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire shift. Ability to lift 25lbs regularly and occasionally, lifting upwards of 75lbs using proper lifting protocol, may be required to perform the essential

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
