Production Supervisor - Night Shift Posted on August 1, 2025 August 1, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Supervisor - Night Shift to lead operations during evening shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth production flow, enforce quality standards, support staff development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence and delivering high-performance results across the production floor. Position Responsibilities Shift Leadership Lead and manage the night shift team to ensure efficient production operations Coordinate with Lead Hands and other Supervisors for smooth shift transitions Communicate goals, updates, and company information to the shift team Quality Assurance Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with work instructions Report non-conforming products and perform quality checks as needed Support a zero-defect culture by reinforcing proper quality practices Operational Efficiency Maintain high levels of equipment uptime and product traceability Use the Data Collection System to track production performance and resolve issues Collaborate with maintenance staff to minimize downtime and solve technical problems Staff Training & Safety Provide ongoing technical guidance and ensure all team members are properly trained Promote and enforce safety standards across the team Substitute for staff as needed during breaks or absences Process & Resource Management Ensure raw materials are adequately stocked to meet production schedules Propose and support process improvements to enhance productivity Work overtime as required to meet production targets Prerequisites High School diploma or equivalent 3+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Willingness to work flexible and rotating shifts Solid understanding of quality control and safety procedures Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems Background in production planning, instrumentation, and process control 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing setting What the
