Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and organized Production Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced sign manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, supervising shop staff, ensuring quality standards, coordinating installations, maintaining equipment, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with hands-on knowledge of sign fabrication, printing, and installation processes. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day production operations for custom signage projects Coordinate workflow between design, fabrication, printing, finishing, and installation teams Develop and maintain production schedules to meet deadlines and customer expectations Supervise and train production staff, installers, and subcontractors Ensure all signage meets company quality standards and customer specifications Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed Operate and oversee use of production equipment, including, but not limited: Large-format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs or preventative maintenance Enforce workplace safety procedures and OSHA compliance Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to resolve production issues Track production costs, labor hours, and shop efficiency Stay within budget on projects Assist with process improvements and workflow optimization Assist with hiring Reports to Ownership Oversees - Operations, Design Team, Installers Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing management or a similar leadership role within a production environment. 3-5+ years of experience in sign production, fabrication, or print shop management Strong understanding of sign manufacturing processes and materials Experience with large-format digital printing and vinyl application Leadership and team management experience Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications Knowledge of installation methods and field coordination Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency with production software and Google Workspace Valid driver's license Required Preferred Skills Experience with software such as: Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw,FlexiSIGN Forklift certification or equipment operation experience Lead manufacturing and workflow improvement systems Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 to 100 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment Ability to climb ladders and assist with installations when needed Benefits PTO Vision and Dental Paid time off and holidays
