Role Description The Manufacturing Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Santa Clara, CA. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations, including coordinating production activities, monitoring assembly and test processes, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The Manufacturing Specialist will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to implement manufacturing instructions, resolve production issues, and optimize workflows for efficiency and reliability. Daily activities include documenting procedures, maintaining production records, assisting in root-cause analysis for defects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves training production staff on new processes and equipment and contributing to the ramp-up of new products in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Must have strong Manufacturing, Manufacturing Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering skills to support production processes and continuous improvement. Must have effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and train manufacturing personnel. Must have Training experience to onboard and guide production staff on procedures, tools, and safety practices. Must exhibit a strong self motivated work ethic putting the company first. Loves to get her/his hands dirty and dive into the thick of problems. Experience in electronics, networking hardware, or high-tech manufacturing environments is required. High speed industrial networking hardware experience preferred. Knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing, or process optimization methodologies is an advantage. Ability to interpret technical documentation, work instructions, and engineering drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work safely and reliably on-site across multiple engineering disciplines including Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Thermal. Experience in managing CMs around the globe required. Ability to travel 40% of the time required. Relevant technical degree with 10-12 years of proven effective hands-on experience required.
