6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, OT Friday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Associate for a company in Oelwein, IA. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift. Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment Perform sanding, puttying, scraping, and surface preparation to meet product specifications Operate various hand tools and power tools in accordance with safety and operational standards Apply, wipe, and finish stain on products to achieve required quality standards Load and unload materials and finished products throughout the production process Assemble products and components according to established work instructions Package and box finished products for shipment and storage Inspect parts and finished products for accuracy, quality, and proper identification Verify product counts and documentation before transferring items to the next production stage Participate in team meetings and quality control initiatives Support production schedules and meet daily manufacturing goals Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations

Production Associate Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 6 months of related manufacturing or production experience preferred Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials up to and exceeding 50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-10 hour shifts) Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Equipment used includes hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, finishing tools, measuring instruments, and packaging equipment Mandatory overtime may be required based on production demands and scheduling needs Company-issued PPE required in production areas; steel-toe or closed-toe footwear required; appropriate work attire must be worn at all times On-the-job training provided; safety and equipment operation certification required Will be around dust throughout shift
