Production Operator

•7:00 PM | Monday-Friday (approximately 60 hours/week)
Pay:
$22.00/hour

Position Overview
Looking to maximize your earnings before the holidays? A global leader in advanced materials and manufacturing is hiring Production Operators for a short-term assignment with consistent overtime. With approximately 60 hours per week, this role is an excellent opportunity to earn extra income while gaining valuable manufacturing experience in a safety-focused production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site requirements, including participation in safety meetings, observations, and audits.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment.
Perform equipment changeovers, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
Package finished products and prepare materials for shipment.
Stage raw materials, packaging supplies, and production areas.
Load raw materials weighing up to 55 lbs into production equipment.
Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods (as assigned).
Use hand tools to perform degating and deflashing operations.
After training, manage raw materials by organizing, weighing, measuring, and supplying production lines.
Execute production schedules while monitoring product quality and reporting issues to supervision.
Perform routine quality checks and accurately complete production documentation.
Complete basic equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance tasks, and minor troubleshooting.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing or production experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety and operational purposes.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical documentation.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety procedures.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Reliable attendance and strong dependability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred
Mechanical aptitude.
Forklift experience.
Experience using SAP or other manufacturing ERP systems.
Physical Requirements
This is a labor-intensive role.
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift.
Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs, and using ladders.
Regular lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 55 lbs.
Ability to work at heights up to 25 feet.
Ability to successfully complete respiratory fit testing.
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, odors, and changing weather conditions.
Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, long sleeves, long pants, and respiratory protection when required.
