Recent projects have included:
Paper Pulp from Sugar Cane Bagasse Silicate from Sugar Cane Bagasse Yeast from Whey Permeate Pulp and High protein feed from beer waste fiber Cellulosic Ethanol Integration Essential functions: Perform on-site fabrication and set-up of new equipment, maintenance and repairs which include but are not limited to bioreactors, fermenters, and mixing systems Support team as needed in providing effective valuable solutions on design and development, optimization, consultation, technical support, and troubleshooting of systems Education Minimum educational requirement is an high school diploma and background with mechanical assembley and repair. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience welding Hands-on experience in a production environment Project management skills: detail oriented and self-motivated Ability and willingness to work on a small team (good interpersonal skills) Engineering background a plus Physical Demands This is an active job that will require being on your feet for extended periods of time, crouching, and lifting equipment. Need to be able to lift 40 to 60# upon occasion (not regular requirement).
Work environment:
Bio-process innovations is a small, unique, family-run engineering business. You will be working closely with project leaders to complete ambitious projects, often on tight deadlines. Because the job is often high-pressure, it is all the more important that the pilot associate be professional and amicable. Good social skills and a positive attitude will be highly prized.
