" Cell Leader - Medical Device Manufacturing (Welding and Milling) Summary We are seeking an experienced Cell Leader to support and lead manufacturing operations within our medical device production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing a production cell that includes manual assembly operations, laser beam welding, TIG welding, and CNC machining (Haas machining centers). The Cell Leader will ensure safe, complaint, and efficient execution of daily production while developing team capability and meeting schedule, quality, and cost objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations within the assigned manufacturing area, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met Manage and support team members across manual assembly, welding, and machining operations Coordinate workflow, staffing, and priorities to meet delivery commitments Serve as a technical and operational resource for processes including laser beam welding, TIG welding, and CNC machining Monitor and drive performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery, productivity) Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions in collaboration with engineering, quality, and maintenance Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and internal quality system requirements Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, standard work) Maintain accurate production documentation, training records, and process controls Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Required Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing Prior experience leading or coordinating teams in a production environment (Cell Leader, Lead, Supervisor, or equivalent) Hands-on experience with a mix of manual operations and automated/semi-automated processes Working knowledge of laser beam welding, TIG welding, and CNC machining (Haas preferred) Strong understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements in a medical device environment Proven ability to train, mentor, and support production personnel Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Technical degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, engineering, or machining Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and production reporting Welding certifications or machining background Work Environment Manufacturing floor environment with both manual and CNC-based operations Interaction with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams Benefits Competitive wages and shift premiums (2nd and 3rd shift) Medical, dental, and vision insurance - coverage starts on 1st day of employment 401(k) with company match-100% vested on 1st day of employment Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and development opportunities Open Position 1st Shift Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
