Job Description
About Us Bixby Feed Mill is a locally owned feed mill and grain handling business serving farmers and agricultural operations across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. We're looking for a hardworking, dependable person to join our mill crew and help keep quality feed moving out the door every day. What You'll Do Assist with daily feed production — operating grinders, mixers, and batching systems to produce high-quality livestock feed Receive and handle incoming feed ingredients, including loading and unloading trucks Hand add micro ingredients into feed batches accurately and consistently Support the loadout process — opening hatches, connecting hoses, pulling samples, and verifying product accuracy Monitor batching and scaling systems to ensure consistency and quality in finished feed Stage delivery orders and load feed trucks for next-day routes Manage feed warehouse inventory and operate a forklift Perform grain handling duties including filling, reclaiming, and transferring grain Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance; report any issues promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through daily housekeeping Follow all safety and quality guidelines Perform other duties as assigned to support the day-to-day and evolving needs of the business What We're Looking For Dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard Willingness to work overtime when needed — it's part of the job during busy periods Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment Forklift experience a plus Agricultural or feed industry background a plus — but not required. We'll train the right person.
