Production Operator - 1st or 2nd Shifts

Job Description

Aztec, an Activar company, provides comprehensive plastisol services to protect metal, including dip coating or molding and fluidized bed powder coating. We are hiring a full-time Operators at our growing facility in Lakeville. 1st Shift = Monday
  • Friday, 6:00am
  • 2:30pm. 2nd Shift = Monday
  • Thursday, 1:30pm
  • 12:00am.
POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for operating various equipment to mold, coat, pad print, assemble and/or package parts within an assigned area as directed. The Operator accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Set-up jobs and perform molding and coating operations to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved. Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements. Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates. Draft and maintain procedure sheets. Check all parts for excellent quality. Maintain accurate counts. Perform trimming on parts if needed. Assemble and package parts to customer's specifications. Ensure the safe operation of equipment. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality. Maintain full working knowledge of all processes. Ensure a clean and organized work environment. Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships. Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork. Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position. Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams. Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous production experience in a similar manufacturing environment. HS diploma, GED, or equivalent.
