  • Review appropriate production schedules to ensure that the correct equipment configurations have been made and that adequate materials are available for efficient productivity.
  • Perform product manufacturing tasks on the line.
  • Document and report daily output, efficiencies and downtime issues.
  • Uses equipment or machinery as efficiently as possible to achieve established production rates and final product quality.
  • Ensure that the products are processed in the correct order and fed into the machinery in the correct manner.
  • Continuously monitor employees' cGMP practices and ensure that they comply with cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Complies with standard operating procedures established for the position.
  • Responsible for performing, verifying and documenting assigned quality related compliance checks to ensure correct product weight, description and content.
  • Follow all appropriate safety guidelines and practices associated with the position and line. This will include helping to enforce safety related measures, as appropriate, and participating in periodic training related to facility or equipment safety, as required.
  • Inform the supervisor of any potential risks or hazards to the safety of workers during the management of operations.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the production line to ensure compliance with company and government food safety and sanitation standards (e.
g.
FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA
) and BRC.
  • Take product samples for the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Responsible for communicating any non-compliance during the process to the team leader, production supervisor or quality control.
  • Report all injuries to the supervisor or team leader at the time of injury.
  • Overtime may be required if deemed necessary, with occasional weekend work.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Minimum
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of multicultural work environment. Preferably bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Effective internal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Respond quickly to any inquiry.
  • Professional attitude
  • Ability to collect, analyze and report results related to production scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of math, reading, writing and record keeping.
  • Ability to learn and apply company standards, including but not limited to lockout/tagout, safety practices, GMP, employee handbook, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
  • Must have a good attendance record, including punctuality in deliveries

  • Worker exposed to temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Possibility of more extreme temperatures during the summer months.

  • Must be able to exert force or lift, up to 50 pounds constantly, must be able to constantly exert enough force to move objects such as tables, ladders mix bowls etc.....
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs, ladders and ramps.
  • Must be able to stand for a long period of time, climb, reach, walk, lift, grasp, feel, bend and twist.
  • Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately.
SCHEDULE
