QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or production experience preferred. Ability to safely operate automated production equipment after training. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and operating procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience operating automated packaging or robotic manufacturing equipment. Experience in feed manufacturing, grain handling, or food processing. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. Basic computer skills for production reporting and inventory tracking. Experience with quality control procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serve as a positive representation of Heritage Cooperative s Core Values o Provide Superior Customer Service o Highest Standards of Integrity and Trust o Continuous Improvement o Being a Good Partner Operate automated bagging equipment, including scales, baggers, sealers, conveyors, robotic palletizers, and related systems in accordance with production schedules. Set up, start, monitor, adjust, and safely shut down robotic bagging equipment to maximize efficiency and product quality. Monitor production processes to ensure accurate bag weights, proper bag sealing, correct labeling, and pallet quality. Adjust equipment settings to maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine operational issues while reporting major mechanical or electrical problems to maintenance or management. Ensure an adequate supply of bags, tags, pallets, and other packaging materials to support uninterrupted production. Monitor product flow through the bagging system and address minor blockages or inconsistencies. Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with preventative maintenance activities as directed. Complete production records, quality control documentation, equipment inspection reports, and maintenance logs accurately and timely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards. Follow all food and feed safety, quality assurance, and company operating procedures. Assist in training and mentoring new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, demonstrate flexibility by learning new equipment, processes, and responsibilities to support changing operational needs. Represent the company in a professional manner while promoting teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements while operating equipment and handling packaging materials. Ability to safely work around automated machinery and moving mechanical equipment. Ability to work in dusty environments and varying temperatures while maintaining attention to detail and situational awareness.
