Job Description
Can you keep a plant humming at 2 a.m.? If your answer is yes, you might be the Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist we need in Leetonia, OH. You'll safeguard uptime on aluminum extrusion and casting equipment by solving complex problems across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and PLC systems. Shift Night shift, 6pm-6am, rotating weekends. What you'll do Respond fast to breakdown calls from any department; partner with plant leadership to set repair priorities.
Diagnose and fix:
bearings, couplings, gear reducers, alignments; hydraulic/pneumatic components; combustion systems; power supplies, processors, PCBs; relay logic and PLC faults. Own preventive maintenance on extrusion presses and auxiliary systems, melting furnaces, casting units, billet saws, and homogenizing furnaces.
Daily system health checks:
air (compressors, oil, filters, dryers), water (levels, quality, filtration), and presses (oil levels/leaks, billet heaters, cutoff saws, transfers, stretchers). Install/modify equipment to boost reliability, simplify operation, and improve safety. Close out work promptly in the CMMS with accurate documentation. Follow all safety and work rules; maintain clean workspaces and assist with shop housekeeping. Take on other tasks that support production goals. Must-haves Associate's degree or equivalent technical training. 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience (or equivalent education/experience mix) in manufacturing (5-7 years preferred). 2-5 years of electrical experience required; 5-7 years preferred. Proficiency in welding; hydraulic/pneumatic circuits; relay and PLC logic; bearings and gear reducers; equipment alignment; and piping installation. Ability to read safety rules, procedures, maintenance documents, electrical measurement instrumentation, prints/schematics, ladder diagrams, and BOMs. Capable of writing clear reports and correspondence; solid math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals). Comfort with rulers, micrometers, and related measuring tools. Problem-solve with multiple concrete variables in standardized settings. Consistent, dependable attendance.
