Key Responsibilities:
Depackaging Focus:
This position has a primary focus on depackaging operations; utlizing a powered industrial truck, unload and stage depackaged products, operate depackaging equipment, complete paperwork, and maximize production uptime across various product types.
Equipment Operation:
Operate various equipment/machines to process materials in accordance with safety, energy, and environmental regulations.
Monitoring:
Monitor material flow and instruments (temperature, pressure gauges, meters, etc.) to ensure optimal processing conditions.
Material Control:
Control the flow of materials by adjusting valves and machinery, including draining, separating, filtering, mixing, or transferring materials.
Machine Adjustment:
Set up or adjust machine controls to regulate parameters like material flow, temperature, or pressure.
Auxiliary Equipment:
Operate auxiliary equipment as trained and needed.
Load Out/Receiving:
Assist with load out and receiving tasks, including preparing trucks and railcars for shipment and loading/unloading products (oils, fats, and process ingredients).
Inspections and Maintenance:
Perform continuous inspections of critical process points, make necessary equipment adjustments, identify and resolve machinery issues, and monitor equipment performance.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience operating a power industrial truck. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders as required for basic repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks. Physical stamina to perform tasks involving manual labor and lifting heavy objects. Valid and insurable driver's license.
Skills:
Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience and proficiency with various hand tools. Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in outdoor and wet conditions regularly. Support the company's sustainability initiatives.
