Job Description

Temporary / Short-Term Position - Immediate Start (Potential to transition into a permanent position at the end of the temporary term.) The Wellb Company | Boerne, TX The Wellb Company is looking for a dependable and hardworking Furniture Shop / Production Helper to join our small furniture manufacturing team for a temporary production assignment through approximately November 2026. We manufacture custom furniture, display cases, desks, millwork, and casework in-house. We are currently in a high-volume production period and are looking for someone who can start immediately, learn quickly, and help our woodworking team keep production moving efficiently.
Position Type:
Temporary / Short-Term (with possible extension thereafter)
Expected Term:
Immediate start through approximately November 2026
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, with some overtime and Saturday work as production requires
Location:
Boerne, TX Pay:
$16-$20 per hour, depending on experience There may be an opportunity for continued work after the initial assignment based on workload, performance, and business needs, but continued employment is not guaranteed. What You'll Be Doing You'll work directly alongside our lead wood worker/furniture maker and assistant woodworker to support daily furniture production.
Responsibilities may include:
Staging materials and components for production Moving lumber, sheet goods, furniture parts, and completed pieces Laminating onto substrate Organizing and labeling cut components Sanding and preparing furniture components Assisting with furniture and cabinet assembly Performing basic repetitive assembly tasks once trained Preparing hardware and materials for upcoming builds Keeping assembly tables and production areas clear and organized Wrapping and protecting completed furniture Moving completed pieces into our staging/storage area Assisting with loading furniture for deliveries Receiving and organizing incoming materials General shop organization and cleanup Learning additional furniture-production tasks as skills develop Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Shows up on time and is dependable Has a strong work ethic and maintains a steady work pace Is comfortable performing physical work throughout the day Can safely lift and move furniture and materials Takes direction well and is willing to learn Pays attention to measurements and details Can learn repetitive production tasks and perform them consistently Is comfortable working in a woodworking/manufacturing environment Keeps their work area organized Works well as part of a small team Previous experience in woodworking, cabinetmaking, furniture manufacturing, construction, remodeling, fabrication, warehouse work, or another hands-on trade is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. What Matters Most to Us You do not need to be an experienced carpenter. We're looking for someone who is reliable, teachable, careful, productive, and willing to work. This is a fast-moving production environment, and we're looking for someone who can become comfortable with repeatable shop tasks quickly while maintaining quality and safety.
