Overview:

Metal Building and Roofing Express is a leading provider of high-quality metal building and roofing products. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Trim Shop Assistant to join our team at our Magnolia, Texas location. As a Trim Shop Assistant, you will support the manufacturing, packaging, and labeling metal trim for metal buildings, ensuring that all pieces are accurately manufactured, clearly labeled, and properly packaged for delivery.

Responsibilities:

Assist in operating trim brake and other equipment to manufacture metal trim for metal buildings. Accurately read a tape measure to ensure precise measurements of trim pieces. Measure, cut, and bend metal sheets according to specifications using the trim brake. Perform quality checks on finished trim products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with specifications. Package metal trim pieces securely for delivery, ensuring they are protected from damage during transport. Clearly label all trim pieces with accurate product descriptions, dimensions, and customer information. Maintain a clean and organized trim shop area. Follow safety protocols and use applicable personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications:

Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Basic using hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Experience in packaging and labeling products for delivery is a plus. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Reliable transportation to and from the company location. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
