Job Duties:
This job outlines a high-level manufacturing and supervision role in a correctional furniture factory. The position requires directing staff and inmates, managing production schedules and equipment maintenance, handling raw materials, conducting training, and maintaining facility security with minimal supervision. Plan operational schedules, evaluate workflow, recommend changes, and maintain quality and quantity controls. Direct staff and inmates, assign production tasks, and run technical training programs with tracked records. Review raw material needs, order supplies and machinery, and keep equipment properly maintained. Secure tools and machinery, watch assigned inmates and respond to facility emergencies.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have a High School Diploma with two years, full-time, wage-earning experience in the manufacture of furniture or four years, full-time, wage-earning experience in any production or manufacturing operation.
You can substitute years of experience for 30 semester hours on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years.
You are committed to accomplishing goals.
