This is a hands-on, working lead role, with approximately 70% of your time spent operating production equipment and 30% leading and supporting a small 2nd shift team. You'll help keep 2nd shift running safely and efficiently, ensuring quality standards and customer deadlines are met. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll be on the production floor operating equipment, troubleshooting issues, and jumping in wherever needed to keep work moving. Production Lead:

Hands-On Production - Approximately 70% Operate a variety of production equipment, including printing, laminating, hot-stamping, and die-cutting machines, to produce stock and custom products. Become proficient in machine setup, operation, changeovers, and tear-down while ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently. Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including greasing equipment, changing cutter blades, tools, and dies, and completing required cleaning. Troubleshoot equipment issues, complete basic repairs when appropriate, and coordinate with vendors for additional service or repairs as needed. Perform cross-functional duties throughout Production based on customer demand and available resources. Team Leadership - Approximately 30% Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to a small 2nd shift production team, working alongside team members to meet production goals. Coordinate daily priorities and workload to ensure customer specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met. Coach, train, and support team members while reinforcing safety procedures, quality expectations, and efficient work practices. Monitor the production environment to ensure required protective equipment is available and used and equipment is operating safely. Become proficient in scheduling software, Business Central, and Jet Reports to support production planning, process improvements, and employee training. Partner closely with 1st shift Leads to coordinate staffing, workload, and priorities across shifts and maximize production output. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, quality, and overall production processes.

Your Qualifications :

2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment 2+ years of people leadership experience, with demonstrated experience coaching, training, and supporting team members Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to logically troubleshoot equipment and production issues Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset Ability to prioritize and adjust quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Basic Adobe Creative Suite knowledge preferred

Physical & Schedule Requirements:

Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 1:00 PM-11:00 PM , with overtime as needed Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently Visual ability to perform close-up work, including color accuracy and focus adjustments
