Fort Myers, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Quality control experience within consumer goods industry English GMP Manufacturing facility experience Full Job Description About Us Pravada is a private label cosmetic and personal care contract manufacturer based in Fort Myers, FL, with 17+ years of industry experience formulating and producing skincare and haircare products for brands nationwide. Position Summary The Batching Quality Control Inspector monitors and verifies all batching activities to ensure cosmetic formulations are manufactured according to approved formulas, batch records, specifications, GMP requirements, and customer requirements. This role provides independent quality oversight during weighing, dispensing, mixing, and bulk manufacturing operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect and verify raw materials prior to batching operations Confirm material identity, lot numbers, status labels, and expiration dates before use Witness and verify weighing and dispensing of raw materials against approved batch records Ensure batch records are completed accurately and in real time Verify equipment cleanliness and line clearance prior to batch manufacturing Monitor mixing parameters including temperature, mixing time, speed, and processing instructions Perform in-process inspections including appearance, color, odor, pH, viscosity, and specific gravity as required Collect bulk samples for laboratory testing and retain samples as required Identify, document, and report process deviations and non-conformances Place materials or batches on hold when quality concerns are identified Support batch disposition decisions and product release activities Participate in investigations, CAPA, audits, and continuous improvement projects Ensure compounding department operations and personnel practices remain compliant with GMP requirements at all times Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on quality control experience in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing required Demonstrated experience with batch record review, in-process inspection, and non-conformance documentation Working knowledge of
GMP, FDA
cosmetic requirements, and
ISO 22716
principles required Experience with quality systems such as deviation management, CAPA, or line clearance procedures strongly preferred Prior experience in a compounding or batching environment strongly preferred Associate Degree in Science or related field preferred; equivalent quality control experience will be considered in lieu of degree Must be able to read and follow written batch records and instructions in English More Details Hours will be 7-5 Monday through Thursday.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
