We are looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Inspector to help ensure our manufactured plastic sheet and roll products consistently meet customer specifications and our internal quality standards.
Job DescriptionThe Quality Inspector ensures that all manufactured plastic sheet and roll products meet customer specifications and Grimco's internal quality standards. This role performs in-process and final inspections, uses precision measuring tools, verifies color and surface properties, completes work-order documentation, and partners closely with production to maintain consistent quality throughout each run.
Important:
This is a hands-on manufacturing quality position located on the production floor. It is not a laboratory, pharmaceutical, engineering, product development, or scientific research role. Successful candidates typically come from manufacturing, production, quality inspection, machine operation, printing, plastics, converting, industrial operations, or warehouse environments. Schedule & Compensation Monday through Friday, 10pm to 6:30 am
Pay Range:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift Differential:
Additional $1.50 per hour on top of base rateKey Responsibilities
Review work orders and customer specifications
Perform in-process and final inspections
Use precision measuring and testing equipment
Verify dimensions, color, surface quality, and product performance
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
Communicate quality concerns with production personnel
Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts
Monitor and document scrap and quality trends
QualificationsRequired:
Manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred
Ability to use measuring tools and basic computer software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read work orders and specifications

Experience in plastics, printing, converting, or industrial production
Experience with quality inspection equipment and dimensional measurements Ideal Background Manufacturing Plastics production, industrial production, printing and converting, machine operation, material handling, warehouse operations, or production quality inspection.
This role is generally not aligned with laboratory research, pharmaceutical research, academic research, biochemical engineering, or product development career paths. Who Will Enjoy This Role?
