Record and report all quality concerns, and all quality histories to management and production support personnel. Offer assistance in all aspects of continuous improvement activities, quality planning, and customer satisfaction and supplier enhancement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In each of the duties listed below the employee is expected to perform to the highest standards of quality, to strive for maximum customer satisfaction, and to continually look for ways to improve the methods, practices and procedures of this position. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in an effective manner with customers, clients, suppliers, and employees. Quality liaison between the company and the customer base. Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Establishes and maintains Quality Assurance programs, procedures, and controls. Coordinates the Corrective Action needs by reviewing, reporting findings and making recommendations. Manages the maintenances of the internal quality functions within the area of Floor Support, Product Sampling, Rework, and Final Inspection. Manages the maintenance of the Gage Control Program and the Statistical Process Control Program. Manages the maintenance of the Production Books/Work Instructions placed in Plex. Ensures all products meet and/or exceed company quality standards. Oversees supplier auditing and qualification for new or proposed suppliers. Advises on installation and maintenance of inspection and testing procedures for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products. Manages and coordinates the maintenance of the Quality System standards to the requirement of the Quality standards (IATF 16949). Manages and coordinates the Quality Management System. Documents all internal activities relative to Quality System standards and provides periodic status reports. Interfaces with company's managers and customers on questions and requirements reports relative to Quality System standards. Coordinates the updating and reporting of the quality measurable to management, supervision, and floor support. Participates in continuous improvement and assist in its implementation on an ongoing basis. Miscellaneous (Supervisory) Fosters Company's Values throughout the organization by living them daily. Ensures personal and departmental compliance with all Company policies, procedures, values, ethics, and rules (including our Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies), taking appropriate corrective steps as necessary. Maintains and promotes a safe work environment through ownership of Company safety program. This includes following and enforcing all safety rules/regulations and proper operating procedures, as well as the proper use of prescribed safety equipment pertinent to the department, and immediately reporting all accidents/incidents to supervisor and Human Resources. Supports and enforces the Company's equal employment opportunity policy and actions, immediately reporting violations to supervisor and the Human Resources Representative. Ensures that personal conduct and work area is free from any form of harassment (sexual, racial, religious, etc.), immediately reporting violations to supervisor and the Human Resources representative. Supports Company's quality and environmental policies and programs and ensures programs' requirements specified for positions within the department are met; meeting quality/environment requirements specified by production drawings, bills of materials, control plans, policies, work instructions, and procedures. Ensures that self and all employees actively participate in and successfully complete appropriate training (on-the-job, classroom, etc.) and that all training provided is evaluated and that proper documentation is provided for accurate maintenance of the employee's training record. Maintains frequent, regular two-way communication with employees to provide information on the state of the business and their performance, establishing an environment of trust. Meets with employees regularly to discuss their performance, with formal written performance reviews completed at least annually using the employee's job description as a basis for appraisal. Meets with supervisor at least once per year to review job performance using this job description as a basis for appraisal. Supports quality and environmental management systems as required. Performs other miscellaneous duties consistent with this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly manages Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisors and Metallurgists, and other quality support functions as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in related field required, Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred; minimum of 10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the automotive industry); 1-3 years of experience in a leadership position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Professional quality certification is preferred (e.g. ASQ-CQE, ASQ-CQA, ASQ-CQM, etc.)
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of
IATF 16949
quality systems. Strong Problem Solving / Corrective Action background. Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) methodology. Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management. Working knowledge of SPC and gage calibration methodologies. Working knowledge of CMM Technology.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, suppliers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as variance analysis, frequency distribution, sampling theory, and SPC to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to use a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications most notably Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to use main business information system (PLEX experience is preferred), and Internet based services.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and interpret ideas and concepts to make decisions with obtained information. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as variance analysis, frequency distribution, sampling theory, and SPC to practical situations.
