Team members collaborate closely across operations, manufacturing, and quality to support safe and efficient automotive products. Role Description The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Goodrich, MI responsible for overseeing quality systems and processes within automotive operations. This role leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure products meet internal specifications and external regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising quality inspections, managing nonconformance investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and monitoring quality metrics. The Quality Assurance Manager collaborates with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and support new product introductions. The role also includes preparing audit documentation, coordinating customer and third-party audits, training team members on quality practices, and driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Qualifications Strong background in quality management within manufacturing or automotive environments, including experience with quality systems, audits, and root-cause analysis. Background in metals Knowledge of relevant standards and methodologies (e.g., IATF 16949, statistical process control, corrective and preventive actions, continuous improvement practices). Proficiency with data collection and analysis tools, quality documentation, and reporting to track trends and recommend improvements. Demonstrated leadership skills, including supervising teams, mentoring staff, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with industry-specific quality requirements is strongly preferred.
