Position OverviewThe Quality Assurance Manager leads the Quality Management System (QMS) at an OEM facility; ensuring products consistently meet or exceed customer, regulatory, and industry standards. This role develops quality strategies, manages quality personnel, drives continuous improvement, and serves as the primary quality liaison for customers and auditors.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ISO alignment, defect prevention, and strong process control.

Manage core quality tools including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.

Embed riskbased thinking by identifying process risks and implementing preventive controls.

Oversee the internal audit program, analyze results, identify systemic issues, and drive corrective actions.

Train and develop internal auditors to ensure audit consistency and effectiveness.

Ensure effective corrective action systems, including root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.

Maintain and control QMS documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and standardization.

Support process and product validation, ensuring inspection methods and control plans are implemented.

Represent the facility during ISO, thirdparty, and customer audits.

Maintain quality records and develop performance reports highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process control and documentation.

Collaborate frequently with operations, plant leadership, and support departments.

Oversee Supplier Quality activities.

Serve as plant representative for all external audits.

Manage QA personnel, including Level I, II, and III NDE inspectors.

Strategic LeadershipAct as a technology advisor on quality trends and innovative solutions.

Demonstrate creative, forwardthinking problem solving.

Exercise significant autonomy in determining objectives and approaches.

Use longterm strategic thinking to guide and develop the quality team.

Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned product lines.

Stay current on industry advancements to ensure company competitiveness.

QualificationsMinimum 4 years of quality control experience within APQPstyle quality systems.

Minimum 4 years of
AS9100/ISO
auditing experience.

Minimum 4 years of technical and procedure development writing experience.

Experience in technical or manufacturing industries preferred.

Experience with welding, CNC, and cutting principles preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience considered.

Strong self motivation and ability to work independently.
