New Hope, Mississippi Position Overview A leading aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Director to lead the organization's quality assurance and quality management programs. As a key member of the site senior leadership team, the Quality Director will have overall responsibility for the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and will work closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and senior management to ensure the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring significant quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment , preferably aerospace and defense, along with experience leading AS9100, NADCAP, and/or ISO quality certifications . Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership & Management Serve as the primary leader for the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) . Lead, manage, train, and develop quality personnel. Establish quality priorities and promote a strong culture of quality throughout the organization. Partner with senior leadership to develop, implement, and monitor strategic quality initiatives. Drive continuous improvement across quality operations and manufacturing processes. Quality Systems & Compliance Maintain and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System. Lead and support applicable ISO, AS9100, and NADCAP certification and compliance activities . Ensure company processes consistently meet established quality requirements. Support internal and external audits and certification activities. Ensure quality processes align with applicable customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. Customer & Supplier Quality Review, investigate, and respond to customer quality concerns. Work closely with customers to resolve quality-related issues. Partner with suppliers and internal teams to identify and correct quality problems. Approve and manage external providers and suppliers from a quality perspective. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality performance. Root Cause & Continuous Improvement Analyze quality and manufacturing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Lead root-cause analysis related to quality issues. Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements. Identify opportunities to improve departmental and companywide efficiency. Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, operations, and other departments to resolve quality issues. Quality Metrics & Reporting Develop, maintain, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for internal and external quality performance. Analyze quality metrics and communicate trends and concerns to senior leadership. Use data to identify root causes and drive measurable improvements. Monitor the effectiveness of quality initiatives and corrective actions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field . Demonstrated quality management experience within a manufacturing environment . Previous supervisory and management experience. Experience leading or supporting ISO quality management certifications . Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP strongly preferred. Aerospace and/or defense manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of quality systems, manufacturing processes, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple changing projects. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Additional Requirements Must meet the requirements of a U.S. person as defined by applicable U.S. export-control regulations . Ability to travel occasionally, including potential domestic and international travel.
