Position Summary RDS Machine is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality organization and ensure alignment between customer requirements, quality systems, and manufacturing performance. This senior leadership role oversees Quality Engineering, Quality Supervision, and Inspection. The Quality Manager will own the AS9100 Quality Management System, lead customer and certification audits, improve operational quality performance, and build a strong culture of accountability, prevention, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and Inspection personnel. Own and continuously improve the AS9100 Quality Management System. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements. Lead internal, customer, registrar, and external audits. Serve as the primary quality leader for key customer relationships and escalations. Ensure timely and effective responses to corrective action requests and customer quality concerns. Monitor and improve quality metrics, including PPM, first-pass yield, on-time delivery, and cost of poor quality. Lead containment, root-cause analysis, and systemic corrective action. Oversee APQP, SPC, MSA, process validation, and related quality tools. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and leadership to improve production flow and reduce quality-related bottlenecks. Support new program launches, strategic initiatives, and company growth. Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, cross-training, and succession planning. Required Qualifications At least 10 years of quality experience in manufacturing. Demonstrated experience leading quality teams or departments. Strong knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems. Experience leading customer, internal, and certification audits. Strong knowledge of APQP, SPC, MSA, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action methods. Strong customer-facing, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace, defense, medical, or other regulated manufacturing experience. Precision machining or complex manufacturing experience. Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
