Friends of Cyrus is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and collaborative Quality Assurance Director to lead the agency's quality assurance and regulatory compliance program. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Office of Licensing (OOL), Medicaid, and applicable federal and state regulations while promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement. The QA Director will work closely with Operations, Nursing, Clinical Services, Training, and Executive Leadership to identify risks, monitor compliance, drive corrective actions, and prepare agency programs for licensing reviews and regulatory surveys. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about improving services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Primary Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Lead agency-wide quality assurance and compliance initiatives. Ensure compliance with NJ DDD licensing standards, Medicaid regulations, agency policies, and applicable state and federal requirements. Maintain knowledge of N.J.A.C. regulations and industry best practices. Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement agency-wide updates. Licensing & Auditing Oversee preparation for Office of Licensing inspections and regulatory reviews. Conduct routine compliance audits of residential and day programs. Identify trends, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and monitor Plans of Correction (POCs). Validate corrective actions through follow-up audits. Quality Improvement Develop and maintain agency quality assurance systems. Analyze quality indicators, audit findings, incident trends, and performance metrics. Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership. Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives across all service lines. Program Monitoring Perform site visits to residential and day programs. Evaluate documentation, medication systems, ISP implementation, staffing practices, and regulatory compliance. Monitor implementation of corrective actions. Collaboration Partner with Operations, Nursing, Clinical Services, Human Resources, and Workforce Development. Provide consultation regarding regulatory interpretation and compliance expectations. Participate in interdisciplinary committees and leadership meetings. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience within New Jersey DDD services. Minimum three (3) years of Quality Assurance, Compliance, Licensing, or Regulatory experience.
Strong working knowledge of:
New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Office of Licensing (OOL) Medicaid regulations Incident Reporting requirements Person-Centered Planning Individual Support Plans (ISP) Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze data and identify systemic trends. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Additional Responsibility Travel regularly to residential and day program locations throughout Camden, Burlington, Middlesex, and Monmouth Counties to conduct compliance reviews, licensing preparation, quality assurance audits, and follow-up visits. 44 and the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Person-Centered Planning (PCP) Manual , including their application to residential and day program operations. Valid New Jersey driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly throughout Camden, Burlington, Middlesex, and Monmouth Counties . Travel between agency locations is an essential function of this position.
