Its expertise includes recipe development, product innovation, commercialization, packaging, food safety, and high-volume manufacturing for both branded and private label partners. Today, Dainty collaborates with retailers, food brands, and food service companies of all sizes to deliver high-quality rice, pasta, grains, legumes, and complete meal solutions in convenient retort pouch formats. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Manager role based in Batavia, OH. The Quality Assurance Manager oversees food safety and quality programs, ensuring all products meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal standards. Daily responsibilities include managing QA systems, monitoring production processes, conducting audits and inspections, reviewing quality data and reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves collaborating with operations, R D, engineering, and supply chain teams to support new product commercialization and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Assurance Manager leads and develops QA staff, maintains documentation and certifications, and supports training on quality and food safety policies across the facility. Qualifications 7+ years experience in food safety and quality management, including HACCP, GMPs, and familiarity with GFSI or similar certification schemes. Skills in quality systems, audit preparation, documentation control, and regulatory compliance within food manufacturing environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including data analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of corrective actions. Leadership and team management skills, with experience coaching, training, and developing QA or production personnel. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with operations, R D, engineering, HR, supply chain, and external partners. Post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Holds a PCQI (Preventative Control Qualified Individual) Certification. Knowledge of thermal/retort processing, packaging quality, and ready-to-heat product manufacturing is an asset. Ability to work on-site in Batavia, OH, and adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume production environment while maintaining attention to detail.
