Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality program and help ensure we deliver equipment that meets the highest standards for safety, reliability, and performance.



This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who understands pressure vessel fabrication, welding, ASME Codes, and inspection—and enjoys solving problems alongside Operations, Engineering, Welding, customers, and inspectors.

Responsibilities:

Develop project-specific quality plans, including ITPs, welding compliance plans, weld mapping, and related documentation. Lead improvements to quality processes, systems, audits, and training. Provide quality support to shop and field personnel. Develop WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs and provide welding support. Complete ASME Code data reports and final quality packages. Develop QA/QC procedures and process sheets. Work with customers, AIA representatives, and third-party inspectors. Review customer specifications and support estimating. Provide technical solutions related to welding, NDE, Codes, heat treatment, passivation, and mechanical testing. Perform shop and field inspections of pressure vessels and boilers as needed. Develop repair procedures. Partner with the Welding Engineer and Metallurgist on welding and materials projects. Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and cost.

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in construction or fabrication. Strong experience with ASME pressure vessel fabrication. Experience with API tanks or ASME pressure piping is a plus. Strong knowledge of GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW, and PAW welding processes. Experience developing WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs. Strong understanding of ASME Code requirements and documentation. Familiarity with

ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API 1104, ASME

Sections I, V, VIII, and IX, and

AWS D1.1.

Knowledge of NDE methods and their applications. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with customers, inspectors, engineers, and operations.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred, but not required. Mechanical or Welding Engineering background is a plus. PE license is a plus. AWS CWI and/or CRI certification is a plus.

ASNT NDE

Level I, II, or III is a plus. Welding experience and training is a plus.
