Job Description
POSITION
Shipping Dock Quality ControlREPORTS TO
Quality Control Supervisor DUTIES:
- Provides instruction and assistance on grade and pack to all shipping personnel.
- Verifies that product designated to orders is valid.
- Communicate with Repack Supervisor on quality issues.
- Ensure repack product is consistent of quality by working closely with Repack team.
- Verify weights of all consumer-packaged packages such as bags, pouches, and Costco packs. Properly calibrate and document calibration of the scales being used.
- Verify all labels and clips are correct. Traceability is accurate.
- Assist Repack Lead in repack process when last minute repack / conversions added for same day shipping.
- Works closely with aged inventory in orders.
- Assist on packed fruit monitoring, records and informs of any quality concerns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for validating product sent to repack/conversion needs to be reworked.
- Responsible for the quality of all packs being created in repack area.
- Responsible for entering repack orders to "Repack Sheet".
- Responsible for entering orders to Domex QC app, traceability purposes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Repetitious and/or prolonged lifting, walking, standing, sitting, bending and carrying.
- Works in a warehouse environment that is subject to temperature fluctuations.
- Performs duties continuously for full shift in a safe and conscientious manner.
