Are you passionate about vehicles, skilled at evaluating repairs, and experienced in negotiating costs? America's Car-Mart is looking for a Vehicle Quality Control Inspector to help ensure our vehicles meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. In this role, you'll combine your automotive knowledge, cost-analysis skills, and attention to detail to assess vehicle condition, manage reconditioning estimates, negotiate repair costs, and ensure every vehicle meets Car-Mart's quality expectations. Inspect, road test, and evaluate vehicles to ensure they meet Car-Mart quality standards. Determine repair and reconditioning needs through vehicle inspections, testing, and performance evaluations. Establish and coordinate fair market values for vehicles in partnership with store teams. Provide accurate estimates for reconditioning work and associated costs. Negotiate labor rates, parts pricing, and repair agreements with vendors and repair facilities. Source parts through online suppliers and local vendors to achieve the best value. Compare repair facilities and costs to ensure efficient use of company resources. Track vehicle locations and maintain detailed documentation in ALIS throughout the reconditioning process. Collaborate with stores, repair facilities, and internal teams to ensure timely vehicle readiness. Support company goals by maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Automotive industry experience in vehicle inspections, service advising, estimating, appraisal, reconditioning, or related fields. Strong understanding of vehicle systems, repair processes, and reconditioning requirements. Ability to accurately assess vehicle condition and identify repair needs. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using systems, software, and documentation tools to track vehicle status and repair activity. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
