Love figuring out how things work, catching the little details, and making sure equipment is ready to perform when it matters? We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team supporting professional audio, lighting, video, staging, and production equipment. This is a hands-on, seasonal position based in our Yorba Linda warehouse. You'll inspect, test, maintain, and document equipment returning from events and orders, identify damaged or malfunctioning gear, and help make sure everything is ready to go back out on the next production. If you're organized, technically curious, comfortable troubleshooting equipment, and take pride in making sure things are done right, this could be a great fit.

8am-2:30pm (30 minute lunch break) Approximately 30 hours per week

•Schedule may vary based on operational and production needs. What You'll Be Doing Inspect and test professional production equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and meets company quality standards. Identify damaged, malfunctioning, or defective equipment and determine the appropriate next steps for repair or maintenance. Perform routine and intermediate maintenance procedures to prepare equipment after each event or order and ensure continued functionality and reliability. Maintain accurate documentation and logs of damaged equipment using Flex Rental Solutions and Microsoft Planner. Communicate with vendors and manufacturers for equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and technical support when needed. Use Flex Rental Solutions to pre-package equipment cases and help streamline the checkout process. Assist with barcoding and other asset-tracking processes for new inventory, rental equipment, and non-rental company equipment. Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify defects, errors, damage, or other issues. Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate equipment quality and performance. Monitor and review equipment information to identify potential problems before gear returns to production. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Understand project scope and priorities to help support scheduling and resource coordination. Accurately move between projects based on current operational needs and priorities. See assigned projects through to completion or effectively communicate and hand off work to another technician when necessary. Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, vendors, and other departments through email, phone, text, and in-person communication. Report project and repair progress during weekly department meetings. Participate in required workplace safety training and initiatives. Follow applicable Cal/OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work effectively in a fast-paced and changing warehouse environment. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience in an entertainment production environment preferred. General knowledge of professional audio, lighting, and video equipment. Previous warehouse or production operations experience preferred. Working knowledge of Flex Rental Solutions is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Comfortable learning new software, equipment, systems, and processes. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to accurately inspect equipment and identify damage, defects, or performance issues. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Extremely organized and able to maintain accurate documentation. Ability to follow established processes in a production and warehouse environment. Able to prioritize and pivot between projects as operational needs change. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also working effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive, professional, and engaged attitude. Able to see projects through to completion and communicate effectively when work needs to be handed off. Knowledge of workplace and equipment safety procedures. Customer service experience is a plus. Ability to see details at close range for equipment inspection, labeling, and troubleshooting. Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse position. The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the job. This position regularly requires employees to: Stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move equipment weighing over 100 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment. Load, unload, push, pull, and maneuver road cases and equipment ranging from approximately 20 pounds to over 100 pounds. Perform repetitive hand and arm movements, including gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and handling equipment. Occasionally climb, balance, crawl, reach, grasp, or feel. Maintain the hand, eye, and foot coordination necessary to safely handle equipment. Have adequate vision for equipment inspection and identification, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors used in equipment labeling and safety indicators. Work around warehouse equipment, changing temperatures, weather conditions, and typical workplace hazards. Why AMP'D?
