Quality Control CMM Programmer Job Description:
Perform the following without supervision:
  • Must demonstrate a good command of print reading, attention to detailed work instructions, and the ability to follow documentation of processes.
  • Create, Develop, and Implement production inspection programs on CMM, Blue Light and Laser Scanning equipment.
  • Long periods of sitting, working on the workstation, reading drawings and procedures (both paper and electronic), and moderate repetitive motions.
  • Maintain a demanding level of quality on inspection programs for manufactured parts.
  • Good communication skills are a must. This position requires working with other team members in up- and down-stream operations: engineering, CNC programming, machining, deburr and masking.
  • Computer entry work in our network and databases, as well as scanning documentation, uploading photographs and program equipment.
  • Complete inspection records and reports.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be open to working all required shift hours overtime, weekends, and as needed.
  • Train and develop less experienced staff with the necessary programming and measurement skills to promote department growth.
Required Skills:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent experience with a thorough understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), and Aerospace QMS systems.
  • Minimum of three or more years of inspection experience
  • Experience in CMM programming, set-up, and operations. (ZEISS CMM and Calipso Software)
  • Perform mechanical inspection with calibrated measuring equipment.
